Depositing

Depositing Method Depositing cash is allowed at any time.
  • Seven Bank ATMs are available for cash depositing, in principle, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
  • Depositing cash by account transfer is also allowed.
Depositing Amount and Unit ¥1 or more, in one-yen units
  • Each depositing through an ATM must be a minimum of ¥1,000 and in 1,000-yen units.
  • An account can be opened at an amount of deposit of zero yen.

Withdrawal

Withdrawal Method Withdrawals of cash are allowed at any time.
  • Seven Bank ATMs are available for cash withdrawals, in principle, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
Withdrawal Amount and Unit ¥1 or more, in one-yen units
  • Each ATM withdrawal must be a minimum of ¥1,000 and in 1,000-yen units.
  • Withdrawals through the ATMs specified by the Bank are subject to the daily maximum amount of ¥500,000 (as default setting), either for IC chip card transactions or magnetic stripe card transactions. (A customer may set his/her own daily withdrawal limit within the range from ¥0 to ¥2 million, either for IC chip card transactions or magnetic stripe card transactions.)
    When using ATMs of Japanese major commercial banks, a customer's transactions (both withdrawals and fund transfers) are subject to the daily upper limit of ¥2 million.

Fund Transfer

Transfer Method A request for fund transfer is accepted by debiting an amount to be transferred from the customer’s account.
  • Fund transfer service is available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, in principle, through Internet banking or through the use of the Seven Bank cash card at a Seven Bank ATM.
Transfer Amount and Unit ¥1 or more, in one-yen units
  • There is no daily limit on the number of transfers to be made through Seven Bank ATMs.
  • As regards fund transfers made through the ATMs specified by the Bank, the daily transfer limit is ¥2 million for IC chip card transactions, and ¥500,000 for magnetic stripe card transactions (both as default setting). (The customer may set his/her own daily transfer limit within the range from ¥0 to ¥10 million for IC chip card transactions and from ¥0 to ¥2 million for magnetic stripe card transactions.)
    When using ATMs of Japanese major commercial banks, a customer's transactions (both withdrawals and fund transfers) are subject to the daily upper limit of ¥2 million.

Interest

Interest Rate The applicable interest rate is displayed on a Seven Bank ATM screen and on the Bank’s website and announced on the information board at the Bank’s head office.
  • The interest rate after depositing may be revised from time to time according to changes in financial conditions.
Interest Payment Accrued interest is added to the deposit balance on the business day immediately following the 2nd Saturday of February and August of each year.
Interest Calculation Interest accrues on the daily ending balance of not less than ¥1,000, which is calculated for each 100-yen portion of the principal amount on a daily pro rata basis of a 365-day year.
Taxation Separate withholding tax at 20%
  • Since the special income tax for reconstruction is additionally imposed for 25 years from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2037, the separate withholding tax rate is 20.315% (15.315% for national tax, and 5% for local tax) for this period.

Other Helpful Information

  • An ordinary deposit is covered by deposit insurance.
  • An ordinary deposit is ineligible for the "Maruyu" small-savings tax exemption system.
  • For depositing or withdrawal through a Seven Bank ATM, up to 50 bills can be processed. Instead of large-amount withdrawals from a Seven Bank ATM, fund transfers to the customer’s account with any other bank are more recommendable in terms of both security and convenience.
