Product Name

Seven Bank Cash Card with Debit Card Service

Eligible Customers

Customers who satisfy both of the following conditions:

  1. Individual customers holding a Seven Bank Account; and
  2. Customers who are sixteen (16) years of age or older at the time of contract

Card Types

  1. Cash Card with Debit Card Service (w/ nanaco)
  2. Cash Card with Debit Card Service (w/o nanaco)
  • *Customers choosing a Cash Card with Debit Card Service (w/o nanaco) will need to separately obtain a nanaco card, etc. to receive nanaco points.

  2. Debit card function
  3. Electronic money nanaco function
  • *The cash card function available by this card is the same as offered by the Bank’s cash card.
  • *The electronic money nanaco function enables the usage of electronic money nanaco issued by Seven Card Service Co., Ltd., which is not available on the Cash Card with Debit Card Service (w/o nanaco).

Debit Card Function

The debit card function refers to the following services:

 

Use Method

    1. This card may be used for payment at JCB member stores both in Japan and overseas.
      • *The Cash Card with Debit Card Service can not be used at some merchants such as expressway, gas stations, in-flight sales, registered-based member merchants (merchants with which customers register their card numbers and continually make payments) and others, even if the store is a JCB merchant.
    2. This card may be used to withdraw cash in local currency from overseas ATMs bearing the "JCB" or "Cirrus" mark.
 

Payment Method

Upon each use of the card, the charge for such use is, in principle, immediately withdrawn from your ordinary deposit account (one-time payment only).

  • *Charges at some member shops may be withdrawn on a later date.
  • *When a purchase is returned or cancelled, the charge for such purchase will be withdrawn from your ordinary deposit account and subsequently be credited back thereto by the method prescribed by the Bank.

Other

  • You need to set a debit PIN, in addition to the PIN for the Cash Card, to be entered when using a Debit Card Service.
    *The debit PIN cannot be changed, except when your card is reissued.
  • For security protection purposes, the debit PIN will be invalidated when such a number of incorrect attempts are made as prescribed by the Bank.

  • *When either of the Cash Card with Debit Card Service or the Direct Banking Card is reissued, the other card will also be reissued.
 

Fees for Overseas Use

  1. Each card charge for shopping overseas or withdrawal from an ATM overseas will be converted into yen by using the standard rate prescribed by JCB plus the rate prescribed by the Bank (3.0%).
  2. For withdrawals from ATMs overseas, a fee of 108 yen per transaction will be charged.
  • *For withdrawals from certain ATMs, an additional fee may be charged as prescribed by the relevant local financial institution.

Validity Period / Renewal

  1. The card is valid for five (5) years.
  2. Before the expiry of the card, the Bank will conduct a screening to determine your eligibility for renewal. If you are found eligible, a new Cash Card with Debit Card Service will be mailed to you at the address registered by you.
  • *Your card may not be renewed in some cases, including but not limited to no usage of the Debit Card Service for a long period of time.

Granting of nanaco points

For each purchase at a JCB member store, nanaco points in the amount corresponding to 0.5% of the purchase amount (with fractions rounded off) will be awarded.

  • *In principle, the number of nanaco points corresponding to the total card charge amount for the period between the 16th of the previous month and the 15th of the current month will be awarded on the 15th of the following month.
  • *A higher rate of reward points is applicable for payments at some member stores (e.g. Seven & i Group stores).
  • *Points are not awarded for certain payments at member stores (e.g. electronic money charges and donations) and cash withdrawals in local currency from ATMs overseas.
  • *Purchases paid by debit are not eligible for nanaco bonus points, which are awarded at some member stores (e.g. Seven & i Group stores).
  • *nanaco points are awarded for purchases made with nanaco as determined by Seven Card Service Co., Ltd.
  • *If your contract is for a Cash Card with Debit Card Service (w/ nanaco), the nanaco number shown on the reverse side of the Card will be automatically registered as the membership number to which points are to be awarded. When the nanaco number is changed due to the reissuance of the Card or otherwise, the new nanaco number will automatically be registered to replace the old one.
  • *If you had previously had a contract for a Cash Card (without debit) and switched to a Cash Card with Debit Card Service (w/ nanaco), the nanaco number registered for the point awarding service prior to such switch will be automatically updated to the nanaco number stated on the reverse side of the Cash Card with Debit Card Service (w/ nanaco).

Notification Email Service

For each use of the Debit Card Service, the details of relevant debit transaction, etc. will be notified via email to the registered email address.

MyJCB

  1. MyJCB allows customers to check their Debit Card Service statements.
  2. MyJCB allows customers to check the limits for the Debit Card Service and request changes thereto.
  3. MyJCB allows customers to register an ID and a password and to register for the identity authentication service " J/Secure(TM)."
  4. MyJCB allows customers to request a written notice of the debit PIN.

Compensation for Damages Due to Illegal Use

Any damages incurred due to illegal use of the Debit Card Service as a result of loss or theft of a Cash Card with Debit Card Service will be indemnified up to 5 million yen per incident.

  • *Limited to damages attributable to any use made up to sixty (60) days prior to the date on which the Company received the report of the relevant loss or theft.

  • A customer entering into a Debit Card Service contract will be issued a Direct Banking Card on which a customer ID and a confirmation number are printed, together with a Cash Card with Debit Card Service.
  • The details of the Debit Card Service, including the awarding of nanaco points, are subject to change without prior notice.

  • The details of the debit service, including the awarding of nanaco points, are subject to change without prior notice.
  • If you request that your Cash Card with Debit Card Service be reissued in the event that you lose it or it is stolen, you cannot use it again even if you find it later.
  • If your Cash Card with Debit Card Service is reissued, your card will have new debit card and nanaco numbers (only for a nanaco integrated card).
    Furthermore, after your Cash Card with Debit Card Service is reissued, the new card will not automatically inherit your nanaco balance.
