Seven Bank Services to Be Affected by the Integration of Encryption Systems (TLS) for "MyJCB"

For enhancing security, the encryption systems that are currently adopted for "MyJCB,"* an online service exclusively for members provided by JCB Co., Ltd.—namely TLS1.0, TLS1.1 and TLS1.2— will be integrated into TLS1.2.
As a result of this change, customers who currently use TLS1.0 and TLS1.1 will no longer be able to use some of our services.
Those using TLS1.2 will be able to use all of our services as before.

  • MyJCB is an online service via which customers using our Debit Card Service can check their account statements.

【 Major internet environments to be affected 】

・Personal computers
Internet Explorer 10.0 or earlier browsers
Google Chrome 29 or earlier browsers

・Smartphones
iOS 4.3 or earlier models
Android 4.4 or earlier models

【 How our services will be affected in the above environments 】

・App Bankbook
On Thursday, March 8, 2018, and thereafter, your account statements containing information on the use of our Debit Card Service may only indicate "Debit Card Service used," without indicating the name of the shop or store where you used the Debit Card Service.

・Direct Banking Service
On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, and thereafter, you may not be able to jump from our Direct Banking Service website to the MyJCB website.

If your internet environment is any of the above, please update it to make it connectable to the internet by TLS1.2.
This may be done by changing the settings of your internet browser.
For more details, please visit JCB's website (Japanese only).
