Abolition of Authentication Method Using "Customer ID" and "Confirmation Number" in Direct Banking Service (scheduled around 2026)

Thank you for your continued use of Seven Bank.

In order to ensure that our customers can use the Direct Banking Service more securely, we introduced the Application Authentication Service in February 2023.

At present, customers who do not use the Application Authentication Service are allowed to use the authentication method using the "Customer ID" and "Confirmation Number" printed on the back of their cash card or Direct Banking Card.
To make the Direct Banking Service safer, we will abolish this authentication method and will make app authentication mandatory within a few years.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

To use the Application Authentication Service, you need to first set up the Seven Bank International Money Transfer App or My Seven Bank App.
If you are a user of the Direct Banking Service but have not set up the Seven Bank International Money Transfer App or My Seven Bank App, please set up either app.
If the app is set up, the authentication method under the Direct Banking Service will be changed to app authentication automatically.

  • App authentication using the Seven Bank International Money Transfer App is the service available when using the English version of Direct Banking Service.
    If you use the Japanese version of Direct Banking Service, please use the My Seven Bank App.
  • Use of the Application Authentication Service is free of charge.

Time of abolition

The abolition of the authentication method using the "Customer ID" and "Confirmation Number" is scheduled around 2026.
We will announce on our website when we have decided further details.

Once you register with the app, you can use various functions that allow you to use your account safely and conveniently, in addition to the Application Authentication Service.

Seven Bank International Money Transfer App

  • -Nine languages are supported. If you use this app, you can check the balance of your ordinary deposit in English.
  • -You can directly log on to the Direct Banking Service via the app, without entering your logon ID or logon password.

My Seven Bank App

  • -You can directly log on to the Direct Banking Service via the app, without entering your logon ID or logon password.
  • -You can check your account balance and account statements at any time via the app (statements of deposit, debit and loan balances are managed collectively).
  • -You can deposit and withdraw cash via an ATM by using your smartphone, without using your cash card.
  • -No fee is charged for a money transfer to a Seven Bank account via the app.
  • -If you register your Seven Bank account with 7iD via the app, you can get Seven Miles through transactions on your account.
