On June 14, 2026, the Japanese government began issuing new types of identification documents, including Specified Residence Cards, Specified Special Permanent Resident Certificates, Second-Generation Residence Cards and Second-Generation Special Permanent Resident Certificates.

Seven Bank is currently updating its systems to support the new format of Residence Cards. As additional time is required to complete the necessary preparations, procedures involving the new format of Residence Cards will be suspended.

Note: The above procedures will be available at ATM Madoguchi starting Wednesday, December 23, 2026.

Applications and procedures using the old design Residence Card and Special Permanent Resident Certificate issued on or before June 13, 2026, will continue to be accepted.

Account opening, address changes, and period-of-stay updates at ATM are scheduled to be available from Wednesday, December 23, 2026.
Further information on other procedures will be announced on our website and through other channels once details are confirmed.
