Notice regarding the handling of personal information for the provision of FACE CASH (face recognition transaction service)

Seven Bank, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Seven Bank") handles personal information received from customers for the use of Face Cash (face recognition transaction service; hereinafter referred to as the "Service") as follows.
The Service will be provided based on the customer's request and various consents given by the customers.
The Bank will comply with the Personal Information Protection Policy established and separately announced by Seven Bank, in addition to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws, regulations and guidelines.

  • 1.Purpose of use of personal information
    Personal information (including facial images and feature data) registered for the use of the Service will be used for the purpose of providing and maintaining the Service and of the analysis and development for the purpose of improving the Service, etc., and will not be used for any other purpose.
  • 2.Items of personal information to be acquired
    With the consent of the customers, Seven Bank will acquire the following information entered by the customers on the ATM screen and images taken by the camera installed in the ATM in connection with the Service.
    In addition, Seven Bank will acquire the digitized information of the camera image based on the position and size of feature points thereon.
    • -Facial images
    • -Bank account information registered in connection with the facial information (including feature data extracted from facial images)
    • -The phone number submitted upon the registration of the face recognition
  • 3.Provision of personal information to third parties (in case the customer chooses to use services of a bank other than Seven Bank (its business partner))
    With the customer's consent, the acquired personal information will be provided to the bank (Seven Bank’s business partner) selected by the customer at the time of facial recognition registration.
    In addition, if the bank (Seven Bank’s business partner) selected by the customer requires confirmation by Seven Bank’s subsidiary, ACSiON Inc. (hereinafter "ACSiON”) at the time of registration, the personal information will be provided to ACSiON based on the consent of the customer.
  • 4.Storage and management of personal information
    In order to prevent leakage, loss, damage, etc. of the personal information acquired by us, Seven Bank will store and manage such personal information appropriately by implementing sufficient security management measures such as encryption.
  • 5.Deletion of personal information
    Customers’ facial information (including feature data extracted from facial images) will be stored only for the duration necessary for the above purposes of use, and will be deleted without delay if the customer takes procedures to cancel the registration for the Service.
    The bank account information obtained at the time of registration for the Service and the registered telephone number will be stored for a certain period of time in accordance with laws and regulations.
    • Customers may cancel the registration for the Service using ATMs.
